Innovative Uses of Coroplast

Innovative Uses of Coroplast

In It to Win It

The Human Powered Vehicle Team at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) recently found a unique way to include CoroGreen sustainable corrugated plastic sheet in its 2012 design. To satisfy its need for speed, the team relied on lightweight, recyclable CoroGreen to create a key component of its trike.

During the 2012 ASME West Human Powered Vehicle Challenge, the team received second place for aesthetic design based on the CoroGreen tail section at the end of their trike. Judges and fellow competitors alike acknowledged UCSD for using such a light, durable and green product.

Creativity Takes Flight

Coroplast Sheeting is a popular choice with SPAD (Simple Plastic Airplane Designs) hobbyists. To create radio control planes from scratch, they rely on the low cost, light weight and color options that Coroplast provides.

With a superior weight to strength ratio compared to other building materials, Coroplast gives designers just what they need to bring each project to life. A wide variety of thicknesses and colors helps radio control planes and creativity soar.
